From our very first meeting, working with Nicky and Lottie at Violet & George felt effortless. They took the time to truly understand us, how we live, and what we were hoping to achieve—not just stylistically, but emotionally. Their ability to retain the soul of our Arts & Crafts home while reimagining it for modern family life was extraordinary.

Every detail was carefully considered, from the natural textures that echo the surrounding landscape to the calm, layered palette that now flows throughout the house. The result is a home that feels both grounded and elevated—deeply comfortable, beautifully crafted, and entirely ‘us’. We couldn’t be happier and can’t imagine having done it without them.

Working with Nicky & Annabel from Violet & George on our barn conversion was a fantastic experience. They took the time to understand exactly how we wanted the space to feel and brought it to life with such creativity and attention to detail. The combination of beautiful textures, bespoke furnishings and thoughtful touches has made our home feel welcoming and truly ours. We couldn’t be happier with the result.

We loved working with the V&G team on our house restoration, helping us to create a family home we always wanted and more. V&G were a vital part of our project: always positive, always pragmatic using their experience and creative knowledge to get results. We couldn’t have done it without them and look forward to working with them again.

Working with Nicky and Annabel was wonderful. They are super organized, thoughtful and thorough, adhered to our timeline, and delivered us a beautiful home — most of the process was long-distance to boot. We loved their design ideas and product selections, including the mix of colours, textiles and textures, as well as the combination of new and vintage pieces. We are thrilled with the results and happy to recommend them!

We have had the most wonderful experience with Violet & George, which has resulted in a home that we truly love. Nicky and Lottie, really listened to all our of our needs and ideas and brought them to reality, adding lots of their flair and fantastic ideas into the mix too. The attention to detail and space planning has been second to none. So many little details, that have given us the most beautiful, functional family home.
We’ve had lovely comments from friends & family about how cosy and established (for want of a better word) our home feels, and how it really reflects our personalities. I think this is testimony to just how much Violet & George really tapped into our wishes for our home.
The communication and planning was seem-less. Every piece was really considered, and when in situ, was altered if not right, to achieve the best possible finish. We couldn’t recommend Nicky and her team highly enough.

Nicky has been my secret weapon in revamping a very messy outdated house and making it into a cosy modern home. Her team are the most professional workmen that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Nicky managed the whole project with great skill. She would magically appear and whirl around the house making changes and booking workmen as needed. Our curtains and soft furnishing session, which I was dreading, went off without a hitch. She just has an eye for what works. To top it all Nicky is understanding and kind and has the ability to work around even the most difficult people. If you were my best friend I would highly recommend her to you….but keep it a secret or she will be too busy to do my next project!

We chose Violet & George to help us redesign the new apartment we had purchased in Kensington, to oversee the building work we were having done and select new furnishings. The project was initially led by Nicky Mudie and then Karen Findlay. We were impressed by the total commitment shown during the difficult period of the Covid pandemic. We were very pleased by the taste shown and could not have been more delighted by the apartment when the renovations were complete.

Review by Spencer & Annabel Moulton

V&G, led by Nicky, have been invaluable in their help and guidance in designing interiors and project-managing, both our current and previous homes in London. Nicky’s expertise, network, breadth of knowledge and experience and fantastic taste were hugely helpful to the process.

It was really a case of Nicky Mudie to the rescue. I have two newly built flats in central Kensington that I wanted to decorate and furnish for the rental market. This was well outside my comfort zone.

Nicky prepared the schedule and budget to aim for an above average rent for the area, very helpful to repay the building costs. From being quite a daunting task, the project has become great fun. Nicky has coordinated with the builders to make sure that everything was carried out to the highest standard. The results have been stunning and at a cost which is surprisingly affordable.

Particularly impressive have been the Violet & George support staff, who have obtained all the furnishings and fabrics very smoothly, and taken an enormous amount of responsibility off my shoulders.
